Noorderslag conference presents extensive Interactive program

Eurosonic Noorderslag presents a complete two day interactive program with leading speakers and companies: the Interactive program. The Interactive program is part of the music conference of Eurosonic Noorderslag, which takes places from the 11th to the 14th of January 2012 in the city of Groningen, the Netherlands.

The music industry is under constant influence of the digitalisation of society. Offline sales decline. There are however revolutionary developments in the field of streaming music services, social media and an explosive increase in the use of mobile internet. Eurosonic Noorderslag closely follows these developments and this is why there’s more space for interactive subjects than ever before by means of the special Interactive program.

Keynote speakers, amongst others Shawn O’Keefe (SxSW) and Ralph Simon (Mobile Entertainment Forum), reveal during the Interactive Program what to expect in the interactive field in the following years. In addition panels will discuss the impact of these developments. Representatives of amongst others Youtube, LastFM and Topspin will be present during the Interactive program. Also new and promising internet companies, including Topspin, Soundcloud and Mobile Roadie, will present their services to the music industry. These companies will also host the Music Tech Meetup Party, which will take place on Thursday the 12th of January.

The program will be concluded with the presentation of the Interactive Awards. With these prizes theFactor.e, Buma/Stemra and Eurosonic Noorderslag focus on European acts and companies that use the internet in an innovative way to promote and market their music. The aim is to encourage European talent and to highlight acts which are inspriring to others in the field of interactive marketing.

The Interactive program of Eurosonic Noorderslag is organized with support from Platform Internetbureaus Nederland and Buma Stemra. The PIBN represents the 100 best internet agencies in the Nederlands.

The Interactive program of Eurosonic Noorderslag is part of the Creative City Challenge. This is a matchmaking event for creative companies from CCC member cities situated around the North Sea.
