1/18/2010
15 January 2010 / Groningen - SellaBand and Krause are the winners of the third edition of the Interactive Awards. SellaBand wins the Company Award, the prize for the Internet company with the most innovative and distinctive music concept. Krause wins the Artist Award, the prize for the band with the most innovative online music concept. The awards were presented today at music festival EuroSonic/Noorderslag in Groningen, the Netherlands.

Company Award

The winner of the Company Award, SellaBand, distinguishes itself by bringing music and artists closer together. SellaBand is a concept where music lovers can invest in their favorite artist on the SellaBand website. Once enough money is collected, the artist is able to release a CD. In this way, music lovers can directly influence the future of their favorite band or artist. SellaBand receives a check of € 5000 for their groundbreaking concept. Jury President Antoinette de Ridder: "SellaBand is a unique and solid concept that has proved itself in the two years of its existence. As many as 37 artists have recorded and released an album with the proceeds of SellaBand. The direct link between artist and fan in which fans can invest in their favorite artist is absolutely ingenious.”

Artist Award

Of all the nominees, Krause, knew how to stand out with her exceptionally creative use of Social Media. Her personal interaction with fans by using Twitter and YouTube made her the absolute winner of the Artist Award. This personal touch of Susanne Clermonts, the singer of Krause, makes her concept unique in the market. Krauze receives a check of € 5000 and two recording days in music studio Spitsbergen.
