Press release: Who will write the best song?

Songwriters competition Dutch Writers Camp starts 26th of October. The final part of the Dutch Writers Camp starts monday the 26th of October at the Earforce studio's in Amsterdam.
Ten songwriters will be competing for five days straight, who will write the best song? The finalists are assisted by topproducers from the international musicindustry amongst which Victoria 'Miss V' Horn (Armin van Buuren, Dirty Vegas, Brandy), Bill Padley (Atomic Kitten, Simon Webbe, Ronan Keating) en Curtis Richardson (Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Joss Stone). Moreover Erik de Zwart (Top40) and Eric Beall, author of 'Making Music Make Money' will be giving masterclasses about the musicindustry. The award ceremony will be friday 30th of October.

From 2000 participants to 10 finalists

No fewer then 2000 songwriters from in- and outside of the Netherlands registered themselves since the start of the Dutch Writers Camp on the first of July. 'With this initiative we wish to give talented songwriters the oppurtunity to catch the international limelight. We use our international network in the musicindustry to help guide young talent towards the top.' says Wim van Limpt, projectleader of the Dutch Writers Camp. Over 150 songwriters have completed the mission: to write a track for Eva Simons. Through public voting and the verdict of a professional jury 10 lucky finalists were selected from these participants. 'The Dutch Writers Camp is an excellent oppurtunity for talented composers and producers to develop themselves even more so they may reach international level. I feel honoured to have been asked to help guide this talented group of songwriters and hope to give them a lot of tips and advice of what I've learned during my musical career until now. I'm really looking forward to it; 'Let's write some hits!' according to the British/American songwriter Victoria Horn

Finalists

The ten finalists who will battle eachother in the recording studio's are: Andrea Maria, Danny Scheurink, Joveek Murphy, Earcatcher, Marco Peeters, Guido Heeneman, Maaike Hermans, Debora Hulskamp and Roeland van Dugteren.
