ADE Next takes place each year on the Saturday of ADE.
  • Muzikantendag
The Muzikantendag, or Musician's Day, is a yearly event for amateur and semi-professional pop musicians. With panels, workshops and clinics on making music and careers in the music industry, this day is both fun and practical as well as efficient: in a single day, you can catch up with the practice of making music in The Netherlands. On top of that, you are introduced to professionals who may open doors for you and may give you new ideas. During Musician's Day you will gain inspiration, knowledge and contacts as a musician or a composer.
  • Toonzetters
Toonzetters is the leading event for and by composers and performers of contemporary composed music. Toonzetters showcases the best, new Dutch composed works from the previous year in a programme without admission fees being charged. In the evening, at a festive concert, the Buma Toonzetters Award will be presented to the composer of the best work. The goal of Toonzetters is to demonstrate to a wide audience the promise and variety that Dutch new music offers, and to create a meeting place for professional colleagues.
  • Jazzdag.nl: Dag van de Nederlandse Jazz
Jazzdag.nl: Dutch Jazz Day is a network event for all players in the Dutch jazz industry: from bookers and festivals to music schools, musicians, interest organisations and record companies. Jazzdag.nl brings demand and supply in the Dutch jazz scene together, helps to share knowledge and experience, and drives new developments.

Project sponsor

Buma Cultuur supports the Dutch music offering during patron projects, where the support of Buma Cultuur consists of sponsoring. The crucial consideration is that the contribution needs to add something to the amount of Dutch music played during this event.

  • Buma Cultuur is one of the sponsors of the New Year Concert by the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble.
  • In addition, Buma Cultuur supports a number of events benefitting contemporary music in The Netherlands, like the Gaudeamus Interpeters Competition and the Dutch Chamber Music Meeting.
  • The Dutch Jazz Competition is organised in the context of the North Sea Jazz Festival. This competition, offering an opportunity to talented Dutch jazz musicians and groups to present themselves on a yearly basis to a large audience, the media and the music industry, is an initiative of multiple organisations, including Buma Cultuur. Buma Cultuur also awards the prize for Best Composition.
  • Buma Cultuur also supports a number of leading festivals that add value to Dutch music: the Uitmarkt, the Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival and the Holland Festival.
