17 May 2010, Hoofddorp, the Netherlands – The last few years the number of music authors joining Buma/Stemra has grown faster than ever. This growth underlines the plus points of Buma/Stemra and its efforts for affiliated music authors. For many years Buma/Stemra has been the European copyright organization with the most favourable ratio between turnover and costs. In 2009 we served the interests of more than 18,000 directly affiliated lyricists, composers and music publishers.

23 March 2010 / Hoofddorp, the Netherlands -  Buma/Stemra has announced today that it has appointed Hein van der Ree as CEO of Buma Stemra. Cees van Rij, current Director of Legal Affairs, has been appointed deputy CEO. Hein van der Ree will start at Buma/Stemra on May 1st.
